anyones AF late after HSG! please help! x

Ok, so I had my HSG on the 16th aug 2011... And according to my 31 day cycle, I ovulated the day after (I don't temp so I don't know if I actually did or not, but had the OV pains) anyways, I still havent got AF! Im about 5 days late now!! Took a preg test on the 1st sep, BFN. And last night I had realy bad OV pains, so I'm wondering if the HSG could have delayed ovulation by two weeks?! I actually really want AF to come as I was given clomid on the 1st sep off my FS... Ladies with experience of this please help!!! Xxxxx

I think on the month of my HSG that i ovulated later than usual but my period still showed up pretty much on time.

Did you take ibruprofen (i.e. nurofen or advil) as I read in another thread that people believe that can delay ovulation... not sure quite how true that is!?

Are you very regular? as some believe that the HSG can improve your chances of conception and maybe there's just not enough HCG level to pick up in the test yet... maybe give it another few days and test again.. if AF hasn't arrived and your still getting BFN's then i'd go to the doctors to be sure.

Hi pinkfee... Thankyou for your input, my last af was 1st aug... My cycle is usually 31 or 32 days... And I ovulate on day 17 or 18... So its strange that I'm having ovulation pains on day 35!! Its driving me nuts!! I want AF to show so I can start clomid... I took paracetamol before my hsg... Xxxxx

I can't belive what i am reading!!! this is me!!!

I had my HSG on 16th August, I confirmed ovulation a few days later here I am a week late for AF with OV pains and a BFN ... I was also give Clomid after the HSG and can't start until AF shows her ugly face, which seemes to be taking forever!!!

me too, if its a BFN then i want AF .. for the first time in ages!!! typical isn't it, wnen you want her she's no where to be seen!!

It look like HSG can cause AF to be late as its happened to me and you... and I've been googling and found other people on old threads its happened to!

Hope your AF turns up soon...

Thanks navy wife! I started AF this morning!!! I can now start clomid, do you know if clomid shortens cycles? I have made a thread about this but no1 has replied! Xxx

My AF has not really turned up but having a bit of spotting so really hope it come tomorrow! Hopefully I can start Clomid this week too!!! really hope so.
