Soooo, I just found out my insurance will cover up to $5000 for fertility services, this totally opens up the IUI option for me! I have gained weight lately (stupid stress and clomid) so I am wondering if anyone of you who are seeing specialists have had a requirement for your BMI? I found this article that showed that obese women still had a pretty good success rate:

But I'm just trying to get a feel for it before going to talk to the Dr.

:)

Hi!
So exciting that your insurance covers $5000 worth of services. Mine only covered blood tests. I have had 2 iuis and my doctor never mentioned BMI. My BMI usually hovers around 29. When we first started seeing our RE, I asked if losing weight would help me conceive. He told me that I am not overweight enough for it to make a difference. Other that my own experience, I do not know much about iuis and BMI. I wish you the best!
