Anyone's else's LO got a favourite boob?

My LO loves right boob but hates left boob. This started after 3/4 weeks - just when he was starting to latch well on the right. He did get the hang of latching on the left but just the last few days he has started not latching well or fussing on the left again. Just when I thought we had it all sorted!

I think the left boob produced less milk and that the let down is slower which I think adds to his dislike.

I'm trying to put him on the left first as much as possible at the moment and just hope this works to sort things out again.

Anyone got any thoughts? Thanks

yes !!! max was like this he would love my right boob more lol I used to trick him into going on the left one by sitting in a diffrent way say with the right i was facing the tv and with the left i was facing the window lol dumb i know but it worked

Could it be to do with the way you hold him when he's on the left one?

I was having this issue. Overnight Brooklynn stopped feeding on the left! I was puzzled so I talked to the health nurses and it was suggested that I try holding her differently when feeding ie. if normally you hold him across try a football hold (under your arm) also try switching him out to the left side when he is tired/falling asleep. After a few days she did go back to both sides but it was def a bit stressful when it initially it happened. Good luck

Hannah used to prefer the right side but that was the side that I found really painful - typical!!
