My LO has never had a problem with constipation but is colicy, since changing to comfort formula she's been screaming with constipation and her poo is so hard!

So angry this formula says on the tub it helps constipation but it just causes it!

How long has your LO been on this formula? We changed to this formula and my LO was like that for a couple of days. She's absolutely fine now and a lot more settled. We have been giving her water inbetween feeds too, and that's helped a bit x

I try with the water but she's sleeping most of the time inbetween feeds

she's been on it about a week

she's also sick after every feed

DH says it could also be due to the Gaviscon she has for reflux. Got a call in to the doctor as she's now passing blood in her stools

oh hun. hope you get to the root of the problem. i do know gaviscon can make them consitpated. it did with my DD2 and it is with DD3 too so ive bought C&G comfort today to help. hope the doc helps, keep us posted please cos i for one will be waiting for news she is ok xxxxxxxxxx

Hi Hun,

doc called back and prescribed lactolose for us to give her twice a day, told him we've stopped the gaviscon but he didn't say anything, will keep her on just aptamil comfort and lactolose until I see doc on Monday, maybe they can give her something other than gaviscon for her reflux or maybe they'll tell me to switch from aptamil comfort to c&g comfort.

lactolose is great at making it softer for them. glad you got somewhere. im in 2 minds with the whole gaviscon thing. DD3 trew up so violently earlier in the week she choked on it and i needed an ambulance to help her with her breathing afterwards so im reluctant to stop the gaviscon just incase cos i dont think my heart can go thru that again.

I'm not sure it worked for freya, how long did you use it before you noticed a difference as she was still throwing up while on it.

With DD2 about a week but she had rantiadine too. DD3 is still having exploding episodes so im trying to hang out for a bit longer, just wish i could sort the constipation out for her.
