Aptimal first milk - bad smell??

Does anyone else find that this brand smells of rotten cheese when made up?
It makes me gag so much now, i dunno how LO stomachs it ! I thought i wasnt sterilizing the bottles properly then realised it was the milk. Why does it smell so bad??

mine doesnt smell! smells milk like to me.

We thought it absolutely stank - it smelt like milk that had gone off. We switched to SMA and it doesn't smell at all bad...

The stage 3 aptimal powder smells nasty too - Tom has absolutley refused to drink bottles made from it and I really didn't blame him when I smelt it as it went down the sink. It smelt like sour milk. He's back on SMA stage 1 which doesn't smell and dissolves much more easily in water.
But the aptimal cartons must taste/smell different - Tom will drink these ok.

We object to the smell too, it smells gone off even when it's fresh. Rosie doesn't have a problem with it though

I've smelt all the popular brands at one time or another, and they all seem to have that slightly gone-off smell.

I've never noticed the smell so it doesn't bother me!

I always thought it smelt like farts when Evie burps or when I rinse her bottle out!
