I've just changed from SMA to Aptimil 1st milk (SMA has caused terrible constipation in my LO ). With the SMA I was trying to give her some cooled boiled water as well in order to keep her regular (not massively successful).

For those of you who use Aptimil, do I need to keep with the water or is Aptimil good enough to keep her regular without extra water? She doesn't really like taking the water so I'd be happy if she didn't need it but I can't bear her being constipated.

Any thoughts?

The aptamil should be fine without the water. My LO is on aptamil and he poos loads  xx

I had to change from sma too as logan was constipated from it. We also tried the water on sma but when we changed him over to aptamil we havent had to give him any. He only goes once or twice a day so its not excessive but a definate improvement from what he was :)

My DD got constipated with SMA Gold so I changed to Aptamil, within a few days all was ok - without giving her water (which she hated anyway)

I'm on Aptimil and LO poos every other day (alot) but then again did on SMA... :)

Evie is on Aptamil stage 1 and also does her chicken korma poos every other day. They're bloody huge too! I've never had to give her water :)

Thanks ladies. 2 days into the Aptimil and she's pooing well without needing water - very pleased!! :happydance:
