Are medicated facial cleansers safe

Hello, I know Accutane and certain oral medications are unsafe during pregnancy.

What about medicated cleansers with Benzoyl Peroxide or Salicic Acid?

My dr said they are totally safe...the over the counter ones at least. He said it's not safe to go and do big treatments at the dermatologist, but the small amt in topical cleansers and creams are perfectly fine!
