I take my prenatal vitamins at night because my OB nurse told me to(to prevent nausea, if I have it).

Since taking these for the last week right before bed, I CANNOT stay asleep. I usually wake up at least once. I thought it was the pregnancy, but know I;m not sure...

I am on CitraNatal Assure.

Anyone else having this issue??

Just a heads up, Some grocery store pharmacies in the US offer FREE prenatal vitamins. Schnucks and Dierbergs in St. Louis are two of them.

I was having issues with the copay of my citranatal ($70 per month!) so my OB/GYN offered to call the generic, Triveen, into Schnucks pharmacy where it is COMPLETELY FREE!

I take pregnacare and I'm sure they have been making my sickness worse so I've started taking them before I go to bed and I'm awake late too I don't sleep until around 2am it's killing me lol

i take the one-a-day prenatals, i was taking them at night for about a week and didnt sleep at all! taking them in the morning made me sick all day so now i take them after lunch on a full stomach and i am fine and sleeping through the night :)

When I was pregnant with my first child I started taking them at bed time because of it causing me to be sick through out the day, so when I started taking at bed time and if I could fall alseep I would have the wildest craziest dreams. "I think" it made it hard to fall asleep because your getting all these good vitamins that wanna get your body up and going, just like if you eat a meal at bed time its harder to fall asleep, but thats just a thought.

Oh, at least I'm not the only one experiencing this!! I usually have NO issue sleeping, so at first I blamed the hormones. Now I know it's GOT to be the vitamins!

I have not had any morning sickness yet, and vitamins have never made me sick in the past, so maybe this is a good indicator that I will be fine?

Taking them at lunch sounds like a very good idea! I'm going to try it today and report how I feel. THANKS SO MUCH LADIES!!

OMG!! I am taking the same prenatal vitamin and I have not been able to sleep!!!

I think hormones contribute to insomnia too as I take mine in the morning and I still have trouble sleeping. In my mom's day they didn't take prenatals and she had insomnia too.

Do you take your prenatals with any kind of food? The iron in the pills can increase nausea and taking it with food helps with that a bit.
