Are my waters leaking? Help!

Im 38+2 and for the last couple of days ive felt almost constantly really wet, ive used a pad today and its off white and quite sticky. Doesnt smell like pee. Baby was engaged at my MW (midwife) appointment on tuesday, she didnt say how much though, just that she was in down in my pelvis. The pressure in my hips and down low is getting more intense now, even just sitting down my hips hurt and laying down is a nightmare.

Tmi, sorry... ive had piles since yesterday too, i think due to the amount of pressure, so im wondering is she just moving lower or could my waters be slowly leaking? Ive had no contraction/BHs or period like pains since saturday night after losing what i think was part of my mucus plug.



And OT (off topic) but yesterday had an hours nap with DD (dear daughter) and woke up having to run to throw up, felt fine before and after, anyone else had this? x

Your water leaking wouldn't be sticky. I felt that way a lot before baby came along; that my waters were leaking. I felt SOAKED like, it would go through my underwear and my pants. 3 times I had my doctor do the test. But it was just insane third trimester discharge. Is there any way you can see your doctor to do the test? It's just a kinda of pregnancy test stick they test it and it tells them if there is amniotic fluid! That was you'd be sure.

But, I had my water break rather dramatically 3 weeks ago, haha, and now I officially now what water breaking is. And indeed, what I had was discharge, just - a ton... a TON! But I started having this insane wet discharge about 1 week before baby came!

Anyways, it is very difficult to tell, even ourselves. So if you could, I would recommend trying to see your doctor? Or I dont know where you're located, but here in Canada, I can call the maternity ward, and if they can't help me determine, they have me come in to check themselves. Good luck!

Yes you can have a leak like that... not sure on the white sticky though. I think amniotic fluid smells sweet - if I remember correctly.

Sounds like the start of something though, by what you describe. I'd suggest getting checked out. I dare say bubba is taking it slow... my #2 did that.

I went to a class yesterday and the nurse said amniotic fluid looks as clear as bottled water.

When my water was leaking it was mixing with my CM and making a weird white drizzly thin CM. It took a small gush to realize it was my waters, I thought it was discharge. My son's head was just low enough to plug it up I guess?

When my water started leaking with my 2nd (had a ruptuhre), it actually smelled like semen. It was also very watery and clear.
