Are these dresses suitable for a wedding?

I've never been to one before and if anyone saw my post a few weeks ago, i've decided to wear a dress. I'm broke right now so i've managed to find a few in Newlook for around £20 - great. Ordered a bunch, had them delivered today and narrowed it down to a couple.

The only thing, is that they're made out of chiffon, i've looked up wedding etiquette and it says that chiffon is for more formal weddings, but the couple whose wedding i'm going to has not specified. It is an afternoon wedding, do you think these are appropriate? I should also say that because i'm only short, they are knee length on me and I planned on wearing nude tights as well.

I think they're fine - they aren't too formal, so I wouldn't be worried about looking overdressed. Seems like a perfect balance if you're unsure of the dress code.

Lovely, I've never heard of this 'rule'.

I have though worn green to a wedding which is supposed to be unlucky. The only colour I wouldn't wear is white.

I have never heard of a certain fabric being considered "formal", usually it has to do with overall style of the dress. The ones you linked to are completely appropriate.
