I've woken up this morning feeling really sick, I didn't have a very good night's sleep as OH couldn't get to sleep and made sure I knew about it with his constant moaning and complaining lok. Obviously I'm really tired so I've tried to make myself comfortable and get back to sleep but I just have a huge ache in the base of my back and waves of nausea that just won't go away. Tried propping my head up and sitting up and it makes no difference, and I've just had to run to the toilet gagging, I still feel like I could literally throw up. Also having some period type cramps that have been off and on all night. Could this be early labour? I've looked it up on the NHS website and it does mention nausea and backache but I don't want to be a drama queen, OH has just started work and I'm not sure if it's just because I'm sleep deprived? Ahh help!! I'm 38+2 btw x

hey hunni, my second labour sounded very much like what your explaining.
It started with period like cramps, then went to lower dull back ache.
Ring the midwives and see if someone will be able to come round and see you.
good luck hun

Do you think I should call now or just wait and see if things get worse? I will be SOOOO embarrassed if I ring up and someone comes and tells me it's something daft like wind :haha:

Its up to you hun.
I put up with the cramps for 4hours before i rang them lol
The midwives have call outs etc all the time they would rather you ring them, and if turn out to be nothing, then they are used to that.
Try and have a nice hot relaxing bath first give it an hour then if pain doesn't go ring them. Have you had any braxton hicks up to yet as it could be that also. But again the midwives are their to help.

Well I've felt my stomach tighten like go really hard but it hasn't really been THAT painful. I've just had lots of period like cramping and random sharp pains really low. It's hard to explain :haha: I think I'll take your advice and hang on for a while, I'll have a bath and see if that does anything.

I know it is hard to explain, all labour is different also.
When i had braxton hicks a bath always calmed it down.
Hope you feel better soon :)
