I am just curious if you are taking prenatal vitamins while TTC. I have just started a week ago. Which ones are you taking? Are there any that men can take as well? I read that it could help sperm count :)

I am just taking a generic prenatal vitamin right now. The dh and I just started taking the gnc fertility blend. I have heard lots of great things about it. You could try those.
Good luck!

Yes I've been taking them for about 2 years now. About 6 months before we started ttc. Right now I take target's brand. I have a prescription from my dr but since those are $30 a month I take those once I'm pregnant.

There are some for men but my dh doesn't take anything except a multivitamin

Hopefully you'll get more responses

Yes, the dr. recommended it. I am just taking an OTC one and my doc that's just as good.

I have been taking Rainbow Light Prenatal One for about a week. I will have to look into something for my hubby :)

Thanks for your input!:winkwink:

im currently taking folic acid and c vitamins i read that those are two of the most important vitamins in prenatals.

im taking pre concieve folic acid think thats the most important one xx

I'm taking multi vitamins - they have every supplement prenatal vitamins have. I'm not sure if they're multivitamins or prenatal, because the picture on the bottle clearly says "For pregnancy". My father is a pharmacist, he brings those for me and my sister.

Yes, I am taking NatureMade Prenatals vitamins to prepare my body for ttc. I am hoping this helps and the folic acid is supposed to be good for before and during pregnancy.

I'm taking ones that say good for pregnancy and TTC - I was never sure though if they actually help conception or whether it was good to take them in case you do conceive as you need to be taking them from day 1??

I take a prenatal vitamin every morning(previously prescribed by the dr when I was preg.) also 1000mgs metformin, 50 mcgs synthroid, 25mcgs folic acid, 81mg baby asprin(blood clotting issue) and hubby takes a multi vitamin plus 50 mgs of zinc, dr said zinc helps to make healthy sperm

I was wondering what my hubby could take. He does take a multivitamin, but maybe now we will look into zinc :)

Can't say anything for what the hubby can take... But I take a prenatal and have been even when not *actively* ttc. The one I take is from Costco and is off-brand, but I figure it's still doing the job because my hair and nails are fantastic as long as I'm taking it! When I forget for a couple weeks, nails start breaking. When I start again, they get super strong. Bonus!

The most important thing is the folic acid (as long as you are eating healthy as you should be). But I've looked into taking *just* folic acid and found that the price is WAY more expensive then the cost of prenatals that have the same dosage of folic acid in them. Silly. So prenatals it is.

Oh, and my doctor recommended taking vitamin D as well as prenatals while TTC. But it may have been because it was winter and she tells everyone that. :p

Yes :) My specialist has me on prescription (gave me loads to try) prenate essential is my favorite it smells good and tastes good so I don't choke on them lol he also put my husband on GNC Muscle man

Yuppers I do... I take Women's Heath with DHA (My Dr. Said the DHA is very important!) Good Luck!:happydance:

Yes, my Dr told me to take them for at least a year before TTC, so I've been on them for about 18 months. I've switched brands a few times, but doc said it's fine as long as I take it. Also just bought a Vit B complex for both DH and I, and DH takes a regular multivitamin as well.

I'm taking over the counter (gummy) prenatal vitamins, folic acid, and vitamin D. Because I have pernicious anemia, I also give myself a weekly injection of B12, but I would be doing that whether I was TTC or not.

Hubby is just taking a general men's multivitamin and also a vitamin D supplement.

Am taking Fertibella, hubby is taking just soda and water...hehehee
