Asda car seat URGENT RECALL

Sorry if already been posted..searched but didn't find a post..has everyone heard about asda's car seats? the nania ones that were sold for £25 scored the lowest recorded in safety and you can get a replacement.

We went and bought a new one, our serial number is the newer one so will only be used for car swapping on the odd occasion x

OMG we've got one of these for MIL car. We bought it about 2 years ago. I can't see the link do you know what serial number is affected?

The new model will also have a different serial number – it should start with the model number D12 followed by the year of manufacture – either 2012 or 2013. The last part of the serial number is unique – if your car seat’s serial number starts D12 2012 and ends in a number higher than 131000 it will be the newer model. If the number is lower than 131000 it will be the older version.



thats what the link says but tbh the newer model is just as bad. xx

Our spare one is 2011 and the number is something like 183----- (forgot the rest lol) does it need taking back? That site just picked my head lol x

yes anything lower than 131000 should be returned x

The woman who served us at customer services in our asda refused to exchange it. She said we have to ring the number on the site :/

Our local ASDA is denying any problems!

I've read that Asda are denying there is a problem and that it should be sent back to the manufacturer " Tex team" I think their called where they will replace the car seat with a new one!! Mine will be going straight to the dump!!!

I took mine back today and got a refund. The ladywas very grumpy but the other woman who was beside her was very helpful. We got the money back on a gift voucher within a few minutes

if u take it to the dump please cut the straps & break the seat up so its completely un-usable xx

Seriously the cheek of asda is ridiculous!! Your contract of sale is with asda NOT the manufacturer!! Demand a refund ladies!!! I will dig out the exact legislation ladies but its the sale of goods act!! (Think 1990) absolutely disgusting that they are denying the issue!!
