Am i the only one who thinks its sexist?? They suggest that a man cant even chose a bloody christmas tree, and the line at the end kills me "whats for tea love?" hes just has christmas lunch!!

Rant over

Tbf, my DH lacks the ability of being able to choose a decent Xmas tree. He would pick a 2ft one & buy 100 baubles to go on it.

I saw the advert earlier but wasn't really paying much attention tbh.

Yeah i guess it is! He doesnt do anything! She does it all in the advert!
Its not like that in my house! I hate cooking so my husband does dinner and its the same at my parents (i took after my mum with that one!)? We buy and wrap presents together, tidy up together and when baby comes i think we'll do family things together too!
I put up the decorations but im fussy about where i want things so id move everything if he helped! :)

Yeah I thought that too aha, my OH is the one that normally goes mad about decorating/santa sacks/christmas traditions - I just get stressed out about presents

Same here. The Very one goes with the same theme too. At least Littlewoods are not showing last years Nativity one, what mum buys their Uncle a £300 watch on credit!?

Yes it does seem very stereotypical!
It also makes Christmas seem totally stressful too! :haha:

I've always found the Iceland adverts really sexist and can't believe they still use the slogan "that's why mum's go to Iceland" but on an off point, the Asda commercial was more annoying for us as it was filmed on our estate and was a bugger to get passed the house with all the trailers for 2 days lol.

That woman was me last year! Fran had bronchiolitis, I had a cold and bad chesty cough and so did DH but while he was laid up in bed and too poorly to look after Fran I still had to take her out in the cold to finish the xmas shopping and wrap everything and put all the decorations up and do the baking and cook xmas dinner and prepare a buffet tea on boxing day for his whole family................:haha:
