Hopefully this will be a good idea.

We have a few people on here who I think are Breastfeeding Champions. They always give fantastic advice, and are brilliant cheerleaders.

So i was thinking maybe have a thread, with a list of people who are willing to be Breastfeeding Champions. Then, if someone is having issues BFing, then can ask to be assigned a BFing Champion who will contact them regularly, and make sure they are ok and if they need anything, offer advice, etc.

What do you think? Sort of partner people up? People who can give help, with people who need help? We could have different categories of champions, like re-lactation, preemies, extended breastfeeding, newborn breastfeeding, etc.

I'll also make a blinkie or signature for the champions, so they can be spotted wherever they post.

I would love to volunteer - although not a champ per se, I've now got 3m experience and will be starting peer counsellor training

I'd say anyone who is successfully BFing, who has experiences they'd like to pass on, can volunteer to help Even if you don't think of yourself as a 'champion'. It more in a sense of 'championing a cause' if you know what I mean

Just reply if you'd like to be one, and if you have any area (like preemies, latching, extended Bfing, etc) you'd like to concentrate on.

Just in general I use booby most of time but express alot if I know my mum, family etc are coming as they like feeding him. And I give him EBM at night as it seems to settle him for longer (ie. 3 or 4 hours and not 1 or 2 ) xx
