Can you develop Asthma during pregnancy? I'm only 9 weeks but have been short of breath since week 8.

I would book yourself an appointment with your practise nurse and discuss this. I know it can do as my friend had to start taking an inhaler during her pregnancy as she developed Asthma for some reason.. Though now she doesn't need to use it. xx

Hon, its probably just that your body needs tons of extra oxygen right now! It's a common symptom of pregnancy.

If you are wheezing (whistling or whining sound when you breathe), or if you feel you can't breathe out because of intense pressure on your chest it may be asthma. Just shortness of breath is likely to just be your body getting used to needing more oxygen for your increasing blood supply and speeding up metabolism.
