At my wits end with 2 day old.

Hi ladies.

Dd was born yesterday at 1pm 😍

She latched on straight away and fed at 6 and about 10 that night again but has only stopped for x2 2 hour stints to sleep. It's now 2am on night 2 and she hasn't stopped since 6pm so 8 hours I've just about got to pee. She goes hysterical when taken off or even if she comes off herself or falls asleep she literally sleeps for 40seconds actually 40 seconds. She had to a on bka k poo since yesterday last few nappies were just wee.

Milk is obv not I'm yet but this is night 3 with zero sleep I think I'm going to pass out 😖

Any advice? Should this pass when milk.comes in or do u think she is just doing it for comfort. Her two brothers never did this 😭😵

Hold on momma the milk will come. And what I learned from my son is no two babies are alike. Keep her close make a moment or to for yourself. It well get better

Can you pass her to dad for a few hours? Perhaps when she can't smell you she will have a sleep on him and you can get some rest. She's working so hard to get your milk in, you're both doing a great job too by the sounds of it! GL

Thanks ladies. It was a very very tough night!! She littearly fed from 6pm -8.30pm I couldn't settle her otherwise and couldn't let her cry because of ds2 so sat in sitting room.all night. My mother stayed the night and she settled for her when she came down at 8.30 for 2 hours!! I should have slept but I went upstairs to pump to try to get milk in faster spent 1hr pumping and googling. Got just over 1/3 oz of colostrum and read how hard it was to pump it and how precious it is. So I gave her that and got my sister to bring over a little bottle of formula. So have her the wee bit of Colostrum and just 2oz of formula and oh my Lord she loved it fizzled all into her and a totally different baby since!! Sleeping most of day or sitting up happy looking around her. She us still looking for breast every 1-2 hours which is perfect. I think she was thirsty too because her lips were all dry but are not now.

I cannot describe to you the difference in her now!

Even if I thought I'd only get a 20min break every now and again I'd be happy to carry on a few days but last 2 days were just relentless!!

Congrats banana!! I just went onto the thread about labour watching to see if anyone else had delivered! Once my milk was in my wee boy was sleeping a good 2-3 hours between feeds- now the past few days he's not been happy unless he's been feeding! It's constant!!

Aww hey dinosaur!! I think most of us were doubled up on another April ladies thread so we were just repeating ourselves and the April thread became most active!

We have nearly all bad our babies now just a few more to go. Hellojello and beckah are in Labour at the mo!! I'll try copy tho link here.

Emily is a wee dream boat since the 2oz of formula. Now she was up quite a bit last night but nothing compared to Saturday night when I thought I was actually going to die!! I got 2 x 2 hours and a few 40mins in there too. She justvfed, slept and pooed! Same this morning, feeding den sleeping its been 8am, 9am, 11am and 12noon so far.
