Attempted VBAC

Anyone got pregnant 9 months after 1st csection and had a successful vbac?

Can't help you, but I'd like to keep an eye on this thread as I'm expecting my 2nd. I'm 15weeks pregnant and my DD is not quite 6months and I've been told by my MW that they will encourage me to have a VBAC... I am terrified so soon after a C-sec (DD was breech) and would much prefer an Elective C-sec again.

I just found out I am pregnant I am 4 weeks and my son is 9 months so it will be exactly 18 months and I heard that it is possible with little risks. I want a vbac and just wanted to hear some success stories to make me more confident. Good luck in whatever you decide I believe it is up to you.

DS1 was EMCS after 24 hours active labour pushed with synto, had pethadine, an epi that was broken so a spinal for the op, etc etc very typical cascade of intervetion but thankfully healed well.

Got preggo nearly 9 months later.

Planned HBAC, nothing but support from my MW's, easy pregnancy all told and although we went to hospital it was only once i was 10cm but baby was OP and I wasnt getting the urge to push and I was bleeding a bunch.

Still got me VBAC gas and air only not a single stitch out of hospital a few hours later.

Brilliant experience. LOVED every second of it.

My dr recommended waiting 18 months if I wanted a VBAC but many people can do it successfully, I think it depends on the reason for prior section as well

Not me but my friend had a VBAC when her 1st DD was 18 months (so I guess she was pregnant with 2nd DD when DD1 was 9 months old). Her DD1 was elective section due to breech presentation, not sure if it makes any difference whether elective or emergency.

well i am gonna attempted a vbac 13 months after my daughter.. so i am not so positive of the outcome of a vbac
