it's getting very difficult to feed my LO as she uses my boobs as toy!

she twinges them, latches on and turns in every possible direction pulling my boob long!!!

it is difficult for me to determine when she is finished as playing in between belongs for her to her milk-feed!

when I take her off, once she starts to play, she will be hungry 10 min later again!

don't know what to do

Don't know if this would work, but you can buy those breastfeeding necklaces.. like necklaces with big beads/things on for baby to play with to distract them. You could even make your own by threading loads of big beads/things onto a piece of thread and putting it around your neck. Worth a try? x

I've thought about this too, thx :hi:

does anybody know any retailers, or are there only available on the net?

I've seen them on ebay a lot... let me do some checking... :)

I periodically had problems with this with my son- usually just when we were out in public (great timing he had!). For him he was just distracted by all the other stuff to look at. I found that putting a blanket over his head (or you could get those bf shawl things they can't pull off) usually helped as he couldn't see what was going on. Good luck!!

my LO hates to have stuff over her head.

but I tried a necklace which I have. it's made from yellow coloured wooden balls. and it really, really helped.

just ordered a breastfeeding necklace from ebay :happydance:

thx guys :hi:

She's getting old enough now that you can start telling her 'no'. If she starts to muck about, take her off and say no, then a few seconds later let her back on. She should get the message - Kaya did with biting. Also, if you feed to sleep, try giving her a feed then some quiet playtime then another feed. Alternatively (and this is one I'm using atm) use a different method of getting her to sleep eg rocking or holding closely.

thx, guys :hi:

I try to teach her "no" now - she must learn it anyway ;) - and the necklace really helps a lot! we still either rock or nurse to sleep, that works well, the problem mainly were the twinges, which can be very painful, especially when she twinges the nipple

she loves the Organix fingerfoods and chews on it happily :cloud9:

I'm sure, she will enjoy other foods as well :baby:
