I am having terrible mproblems with the AVENT bottles. They keep on leaking from around the white ring. OK it doesn't happen with every bottle but it does seem to be happening regularly.
Does anyone else have experience of this? If so, how did you remedy the problem? I've tried scewing the lids on looser, gently unscrewing them them and re screwing prior to feeding but to no avail. I have even had bottles leaking after being warmed and also before being warmed. There doesn't seem to be any logic to it!
Please help!!!

this is the reason i wont touch avent!!

I spent a fortune on them when i had my 1st baby, and they leaked no matter what i tried,so i gave up on them. I tried again when i had my 2nd and again had the same problem so have never used them again!!

Yep I have this problem too.

My parents bought some bottles and sterilizer for us, I'm just glad there were only 2 Avent ones in there!

My OH can stop them leaking but I cant. He reckons it's when the bottom of the teat is slightly wet or the white ring is slightly wet. I carefully dry both but still leak for me. He does it and they work

I had the same problem with them when my daughter was a baby and tried everything,so switched to another brand of bottles.Have not even bothered looking at them this time around!x

This is happening to me too but I've got loads of them! Argh!

The same happened to me when I had my son nearly 7 yrs ago....so this time I have gone for Tommee Tippee!!!!

Yup me too, pees me right off! I emailed avent, they said (cos i use BPA free ones) That they need screwing tighter and to make sure no liquid or powder is on the rim when they get tightened up. Since checking that they have leaked loads less *touches wood* I just screw them until it wont go any further and just dry them off before I put the ring on. Its a real pain though. More people should complain to them because its def a design fault.

I mailed mothercare and they said I had to send them back so they could be checked, and refused to replace so I couldn't do that as I'd have had no flipping bottles. :dohh:

All bottles leak at some point (workin in a nursery, they've all done it to me) But if you google avent bottles leaking, someone has put some diagram as to why they think.

I've found if my water is too hot going in, when i shake it they leak. Or when it's from fridge, into hot water, just before feeding babs, unscrew the lid and you'll hear a massive pop, like a build up of pressure. I don't seem to get it half as often now

I used Avent I get on better with them than Tommee Tippee CTN! I think its steam caught some water caught in the white screw on lid etc a little shake and a wipe with a piece of kitchen roll round the edges always works.

No problems here and we've been using them for 3 months!
