Which do you prefer? I have three TT CTN and two avent bottles I also have both microwave sterilisers as someone got me the avent one. Thinking of switching to avent as LO seems to be taking in quiet a bit of air with TT however I've heard about avent leaking? Such a pain with the TT steriliser too as it only fits four bottles and they don't fit in the avent one as there too chunky! Also do all the avent bottles come with the blue anti colic ring as standard or are there different types?

I tried both. The nipple on the Tommee collapsed like crazy. The Avent bottles leaked way too often. I ended up with Born Free and really love them.

Have only tried avent with.my LO and she gets on.with them fine. No.problems with leaking either. I.have 4 of the bottles with.the anti colic blue ring but went to.boots to grt a couple of spares and they.had bottles with a yellow tinge...no.rings but stated.they were.any.colic...havent noticed any difference with them. LO has no.wind issues which i.cpnverned about after switching from bf'ing

If you're avent's are leaking it could well be because you're screwing the top on too tight? Put the bottle top on the teat section and screw it on only holding the bottle top. When the bottle top starts to spin stop tightening, the neck is tight enough to stop leaks but loose enough for the anti colic bit of the teat to work.

We tried TT, avent, MAM, Dr brown's etc, the avent were the least leaky of the lot, we found the TT's crap but every baby is different.

Im using the avent bottles. I had the same problem with the TT, and found that as long he takes a large portion of the avent nipples he rarely sucks air.

I prefer the TT, only because the teet going in actually helps her slow down so she can't guzzle it so quickly! Didn't have any problem with avent leaking though.

doesnt really answer your question but im using Dr Brown bottles and really like them :haha: i switched to them from Avent but didnt have a problem with avent,., only switched as LO is a horrendous nightmare to wind and thought the DR browns would be good as they are apparently best for colicy babies xx

I started off using TT's, I found them absolutely awful as the teat always collapsed :nope: I switched to AVENT & haven't had any problems at all with them, think they're fab  x

Loved tommee tippee - tried tons of other bottles, this one just worked best for us!

TT did not work for us - Avent was ok but we switcheds to Dr Browns and best bottles we've tried

I have a baby who gets a lot of gas from bottles. Here's what I've tried:
Tommee Tippee
Avent
Dr. Brown's
Adiri
The winner? Tommee Tippee!!
Here's why. Less gas, and happier baby. Honestly, with the sterilizers, I just hand wash the bottles and if I'm running the dishwasher throw them in there. Baby is 13 weeks old and has lived without sterlized bottles (other than before the first use, I boiled them). Breakdown:
Avent - WAY too fast of a flow, which caused more spit up and gas. Never had a leaking problem, though, and I have like 8 of them.
Dr. Brown's - No less gas than Avent, but a huge hassle to clean with all the parts.
Adiri - Leaked EVERYWHERE. I heat my breastmilk in a container of hot water. Because these screw together on the bottom, the milk would leak out the bottom, even though they're tightly closed. flip it over and the milk leaks out the nipple. Poor design, I thought.
Tommee Tippee - You'll get a collapsed nipple if you're not careful about squeezing open the little vent on the nipple when you clean, and letting water flow through it. If it gets stuck closed, and sticky formula can do that, the nipple will collapse. So just watch that and you should be fine.

We used TT for both babies, i did try avent with Finley (because JAyden had awful colic so i wondered if it was the bottles) but because Finley was BF he wouldn't accept the Avent bottles, would only take to the TT ones (monkey haha)

Thanks everyone got some avent bottles on offer and theyve been fine so far! I really wanted to try the dr browns but heard there a nightmare to clean but anyway so far so good with avent ones :)
