Hello :flower:

Switched to cow & gate first formula last week and we've been using Avent bottles with the first size teat. On the box is says the next stage teats are suitable from 1 month+ but when did you move up a level? Dd seems to get tired now after 80ml of formula and I'm wondering if it's because the teat is too slow? xxx

Hi, yes i would say the hole size is to small. I changed my little girl up to teat "2" at approx 4 weeks old. She used to take forever feeding and would hardley ever finish a bottle as she was just getting too tierd trying to suck the formula out. At first when we changed to the bigger size she would spill quite a bit down her but after a week she got used to it and finished the whole bottle in no time at all. I would say though try and give a few seconds break during the feed as my LO a couple of times spat a load up as she was gulping down quickly and was not used to the bigger hole.

I use Avent bottles and have been using teat size 2 since she was about 2 weeks old. Size 1 was no good as she kept falling asleep as she was so tired trying to get the milk! HV advised me to change. x

My midwife advised me to switch when amy was only about a week old as she was getting very sleepy too and the feeds were taking ages.
With the new teats i see a big improvement and shes coping very well on them
