My lil Evie-Jane was finally born on 26/02/12 -11:10am - two days after her due date - 8hour labour.
She weighed in at 9.5lbs! The chunky monkey.

I'll get to the basic birth story.
Had a rather quick labour seeing it was my first time too!
I went to bed after coming on here ofcourse, did my all fours exercise cause evie had been back to back (OP position) for a while, which had been a massive concern of mine, was terrified!
I eventually laid down to go to sleep but kept having constant sharp stabbing pains down below, with the odd period pains, I had been having these for afew days before so didn't think too much of it.
The pain became a bit more painful on one side so turned over and I felt a pop - my waters decided to break all over my bed at around 3-4am, ran to get evies bath tub and stood over that for about 5-10 minutes waiting for the water to stop lol.
Called the hospital was told to come in to have a check, went in and they said they would have sent me home but baby did a lil poop inside me, trust her
They then decided just to be safe to put me in a bed on the ward. Me and my OH got into the ward at around 5-6am, I already then started having pains. I wasn't even sure how intense contractions were supposed to be so me and OH just sat through them watching them intensify on the monitor round my belly. Started getting very painful so asked for some paracetamol, then the nurse wanted to check me and I was already 6cm! All of a sudden all the pressure went to my lower back which killed me and I felt I really needed to push.
Got rushed over to the delivery suite, they said I had to wait 15minutes but that wasn't enough time so they got me in gave me the wonderous Gas&Air, and then I was told to push... and my god when the contraction came pushing was the most wonderful feeling ever lol. Kept moaning that I wanted to go to bed and sleep whilst pushing. Eventually got my gas and air taken away cause I was so tired and dopey so had to end labour without anything!
Evie turned at the last minute, came out cross armed and got put straight on me.. which killed also cause she was so heavy on my belly! but so beautiful.
All in all i'm amazed at myself delivering a 9.5lb baby on just gas and air, it's amazing what our bodies are capable of.
Had tears in 3 different places - 2nd degree.
I've never had such an intense experience, but after a day and a half at hospital we're home now and she's the most well behaved baby, so content.
And my OH was absolutely brilliant throughout the birth, especially the contractions to help me breathe.
Now he's just brilliant with helping me with Evie, stitches hurt! lol.
