I decided to start taking B6, which I read can help increase your luteal phase. My cycles have always been relatively short (23-24 days), I usually ovulate around Day 13-14, and my LP is usually around 10 days. I am currently on CD16 and have not had a positive OPK or increased temps yet... I am going to see how this cycle turns out and whether the B6 also increases my LP. Has anyone had similar experiences?

I'm not overly sure but I have been reading a LOT about this lately so have decided to stop taking B6 too!

taking b6 on it's own can cause imbalances. I take 100mg of Complex B vitamins which contains 100mg of all the essential B vits and i've never had a problem - i took it initially because i have short cycle - it worked for 2 cycles increasing to 26days and now doesn't work for LPD but i continue to take it because it actually makes me feel better, i have more energy x

your body will only absorb what you need a you will pee out the rest - be warned it turns your urine florescent yellow lol x

So if I am taking 100mg of B6 along with a prenatal, do you think that it is too imbalanced?

it's possible (i'm no dr) but i've done so much reading over the years and found that b6 on it's own isn't always a good idea. Don't forget you prenatals will likely have B6 in them too so you could be taking in too much of B6 and not enough of the others to work with it x

Thanks! I was worried about that when I started taking it, but had read so many positive things. I started taking just 50mg, but upped it this cycle when I didn't see much of a change. I'll be dropping it back down now.

When I started my b multi with folic acid the first month it totally delayed my ovulation, after that though I noticed my ovulation started coming early!

I took Complex B vitamins for a couple of cycles hoping it would delay my ovulation (I usually o on Cd11), it had not effect on my cycle. EPO on the other hand, delayed my ovulation by 1-2 day in 90% cycles but it had no effect on my LH
