Baby allergic to formula??

I'm not exactly sure... I'm a first time mom and my daughter is 3 weeks old. So far she's been on Gerber soothe and some other Gerber kind, Similac sensitive and similac advance.. she done alright on the similac sensitive but it started acting up too.. She's soo fussy, especially lately and really definetly after a feeding, she acts like she isn't satisfied and she cries.. She always spits up quite a bit..more than normal.. I've given her gas drops incase it was gas and nothing has helped.. I'm not sure if it's relevant but me and her dad was both on the special Alimentum formula as babies, could this matter?? Also her dad is allergic to coconuts and the formula has coconut oil in it..would that matter?? anything is helpful..thank you!

Hi, im in the UK so not sure of those brands. Maybe she has reflux. My daughter is allergic to lactose and dairy and soy and also has reflux so if you have any questions feel free to post and i will answer as best as i can x

Yes it could be she has a milk allergy try similac alimentum or enfamil nutrimegian

they are broken down for babies that have allergies my baby girl had the same problem took me 2 months to figure it out talk with your pedi about a possiblity it wont hurt to try and she could have reflux as well alimentum helps with that to . but if she still spits up alot try getting her meds like zantac works good.


the formula is expensive as hell but if she has milk allergy your insurance can cover it if you get a script for it =] hope that helps

it's most likely the formula! i tried so many different sensitive kinds and finally a low iron one has worked best for me. my doctor kept saying it couldn't be the formula but it was every time!
