I've noticed a lot of people are interested in new ideas for food they can share with baby. Thought we could share recipes that we make for Lo.
My Lo loves brocolli and cheese soup:
Soften 1 or 2 finely chopped onion and 1 chopped / crushed garlic bulb.
Add brocolli (I use frozen sometimes). Can also pad out with other veg: cauliflower, courgette. Heat through for a few mins.
Add low salt veg stock 1 ltr.
Simmer until veg is tender.
Blend once cooled.
I add a little grated cheese when I've heated it to serve Lo. Also freezes well (I always freeze without cheese)
Butternut squash soup
Same as above but instead of adding brocolli add diced butternut sqaush. Cook for 10 mins with onions before adding stock. I also add a little curry powder to the onions when I soften them to bring a tiny bit of heat to the soup.
Lo loves these soups with crusty bread or rice cakes.
