So since Joining this forum I have learned about a lot of different vitamins oils
Etc

To be honest I don't know where to start - what cocktail of herbs are you all trying? & does anyone have a success story?

Hi Blue, Vit E,C,D are extremely beneficial & scientifically proven to support adrenal hormone functions & help form quality eggs/reducing m/c chances. Folic acid helps your eggs grow and helps the quality of both egg and sperm (proven).
My favourite of all of them is CoQ10, like with vit E a very powerful antioxident, helps egg quality as well as prevents cancer and heart disease.

Some extras but not the most powerful supplements: Vitex helps you ovulate stronger...at least is does for me. Macca root helps with his :spermy: count, is great in shakes & proven scientifically with men just not with women ...yet. B6+12 prevents m/c.
Here's a study backed website about m/c but the info is also directly related to fertility & supplements:

The only things I WON'T touch are soy & chinese herbs. Soy has caused infertility in animals for hundreds of years, chinese herbs aren't regulated and have caused liver damage in a number of people (and most are contraindicated with pregnancy).

Thank you! Being 40 I definitely need to up my egg quality. Have you used these combinations with a successful pregnancy ?

Been TTC for over 3 years now & want to do everything to help make it happen

I really appreciate your feedback

The first time I used softcups I had a BFP that unfortunately ended in chemical. I'm getting a naturopath doctor to do a barrage of tests on me next week to see if my arthritis (autoimmune dysfunction) is the cause of my premature ovarian depletion. If there are supplements for that I may be more successful.
Otherwise because I only have 1 antral follie left the doc said I have less than 10% chance of conceiving. It's already difficult to conceive without these sorts of issues. I think more people with unknown infertility should be going to naturopath asking questions about autoimmune dysfunction. It occurs with inflammation (not just arthritis)...so if you're overweight or have a nature for high levels of killer white blood cells (an overly efficient immune system). It can be a critical component that the normal docs won't even test for.
We'll be doing IVF in November if we don't get preggers before then. At least we may be able to freeze some eggies for the future if I'm able to produce a few.
Before I took the supplements I wasn't ovulating, now at least I'm ovulating every month. I think the softcups are the best though. They are what makes me excited to try again this month. There's so many positive reports all over the internet about them helping people get pregnant, it's worth a shot.

Every day I take:

Prenatal
B50 Complex
Folic Acid
Flaxseed Oil
Baby Aspirin

I was diagnosed with an MTHFR gene mutation, which means my body can't absorb folates properly, so I have to take extra in pill for plus eat what I normally would to get natural folates as well. I've only known about this for a month now, so I can't say that taking any of these have helped with TTC, but I can say they have helped my chronic fatigue and migraines.

Hi
Im another oldie ttc #1. I have high FSH & very low AMH. We had a misscarriage last year and have just come through a failed IVF/ICSI cycle.
Here's what Im taking:
Preconception multivits
Extra folic acid
CoQ10
Bee pollen & royal jelly
Flaxseed oil capsules
Low dose anadin
Macca
Wheatgrass

I think this all is helping. Although the ICSI cycle failed and we had only 2 follies, the follicles were a great size throughout (so good 1 went before EC), the egg we did get looked really good & the lab said we had a perfect grade 1 embryo. So I know with low ovarian reserve / depleted ovaries Im never going to get many eggs - so im just working on the quality.

DH is taking vit c, macca, flaxseed & preconception for men.

:dust:

Oh thanks everyone !! Good to know that there is some actual proof that some of these supplements actually improve things.

I mean the RE visits Clomid OPK tests Vitamins

It can all add up & now Supplements

Anyone have a website that has good pricing?

I'm on vacation this wknd & I really should take a break from combing the web & obsessing but I only have 10 more tries until I'm 41. Then I'm def gonna reevaluate again.

2 blue lines, if you haven't already, take a look at this website. It gives you ideas for how to improve your egg quality:

Personally, the only vits etc. I'm taking are pre-natal and occasionally I double up by taking a separate folic acid (I'm sure 800 dose instead of 400 can't be bad taken a couple of times a week? I don't know that I need the extra, but I figure it's not exactly an over-dose.) Otherwise, I try to get what I need through diet and lifestyle, so sunshine for vitD, fresh veggies for lots of nutrients, nuts and seeds for b6 and selenuim and I've increased the number of fish-based meals we have, as that's good for both of us.

For me I'm lucky because here in Canada, Soy Isoflavone is sold over the counter so I take Centrum prenatal vitamins for the whole month but going to be doing my first round of Soy in November.

Since starting the prenatal 5 months ago I have definitely noticed a major improvement in the 2ww. I never used to get CM but I do not for the whole 2ww. Plus, as an added bonus i got healthier hair lol

Thank you! I feel the same way fresh air exercise fresh food should all be part of being healthy. One thing I think is important is relaxing. I was doing Yoga 3-4 times a week when I conceived my first child.

It can if you over do it. Soy is meant to be taken for about 3-4 days at the beginning of your cycle. Only thing is, gotta experiment with the dosage. I'm gonna be doing days 2 to 6 with 100,100,160,160 and see how it goes. Something about those numbers that sound right

I'll add to this note: my acupuncturist agreed that blood flow was the number 1 thing to help egg quality. From Cd1-ovulation I sit in the evenings with hot packs on my womb area to help circulate the blood flow there. I also ride my bike to work and do yoga & core pilates during my noon hours.

hi, im going to start soy isoflavones tomorrow!! ... but im not sure if i can take soy, primrose oil and prenatal vitamins at the same time, please if someone knows something about that HELP ME ASAP!! i will really appreciate it :D
