Ok so when he sleeps it's like for 10 mins max before his up moaning again! He gets himself overtired and it just attacking his face (he has eczema) he grabs his ears which is something he does when tired but he also had a rash behind his ear. I just don't understand why I get babies who don't sleep? My first was EXACTLY the same. People say it's my fault and I hold him too much?

He'll fall asleep on the breast then once his off his awake crying again or when I put him down. He'll only manage a decent sleep in his car seat or pushchair when we're out and about :dohh:

Night time his ok, not perfect but ok. Don't 3-4 month old babies need to sleep a bit during the day?

How much in total is he sleeping during the day.

Freya has had a nap of about 45 minutes this morning and is napping now. Not sure how long in total, some days are longer than others. She'll probably (hopefully) have another nap about 5.

Would he nap on you if you held him? For me, I cannot hold Freya to nap so she's never gotten used to it. I simply have too much to do. She feeds to sleep then goes into her basket. If she wakes I rock in slowly until she drops off again.

There's nothing worse than an over tired baby :hugs:

My baby is younger but same problem. She likes to nap while being carried around or in my lap after breastfeeding. Sometimes I manage to get her to nap in the crib but that's usually only once per day (when she does, it's usually 2 hours)

Some babies just need mama to sleep. It's not bad or wrong. If she sleeps in a carrier put her in the carrier or if bed sharing helps, bed share. I know it's hard. My ds didn't take decent naps without me and in his crib until he was 5 months.

Isla doesn't nap really!! She probably has 4 30 min naps a day and that's it, it drives me mental!! She gets over tired and is a screaming mess by about six o clock! I am lucky that she goes 12/13 hours at night though at the moment!
I feel like I spend hours rocking her in the day for her to only sleep for thirty minutes! It drives me mental!!

Sounds just like me LO. She stopped sleeping after daytime breastfeeds at about 2-3months old (I think eczema played a part). No advice sorry, just know you are not alone. I spent so much time (and petrol) either driving around or walking with the pram - and even then it was hit and miss.

Heehee i could have written this (rocking hours to sleep for half hour). I think 30 min nap is a usual state of affairs. It refreshes them. Mine has 3 x 30 min nap and a happy baby. I find if she has a long nap in the morning or early afternoon then she will not have her third nap in the eArly eve and be overtired come night time

Lol same here with the rocking/walking to sleep taking longer than the nap! Yesterday afternoon I spent a hour for a fifteen min nap.
