Hi ladies i want to start wearing my baby as he loves being close to me. I just have no idea where to start!!

At the moment i have a quilt cover folded up and tied around me and he is fast asleep in it.

I am quite a big lady so wanna make sure that whatever i buy is gonna be suitable for me :)

Any advice please???

Possibly any links to where to get them from ect would be great.

Thankyou

:hugs:

hi hun!! i have a Gypsy Mama wrap, it's 6 yards long so is great for us bigger ladies (I'm a size 18/20 and i can easily tie it at the front, after crossing it at the back, but you dont have to cross it!) its also a woven fabric, not a stretchy one, so it doesnt sag, stays tight to your body til you take it off! cant reccomend it enough!!

heres the link: https://www.gypsymama.com/shop/products.php?cat=17&PHPSESSID=456494d55ab8d692247d96b5985685b0

what does everyone think of these?

theres a sticky thread in this section with reviews of lots of different carriers hun, i think that ones in there somewhere!

be wary of the sling/ pouch types as they put all the weight on one shoulder.

I have a new native pouch that I love but can't wear for long as it puts all the bubs weight on the one side. I'm currently looking around for one with as much back support and 'spread out the weight' support as possible.

i had the sling, i hated it, it murdered my shoulder :(

try a mei tai, their lovely, you can get them with longer straps for bigger sizes :flower:

I've never tried a wrap or sling but we do use mei tais and I love them. A great place to start IMO.
