Silly post really but when I put baby in clothes with snaps I usually only snap one where the diaper is instead of all three snaps in that area. It drives my husband NUTS that I don't snap all of them closed. Meanwhile this is a guy I call 'pigpen' from Charlie Brown because he leaves a trail of clothes etc for me to pick up wherever he goes :) I like outfits with zippers because when I change baby so many times it's just so much easier, especially with baby kicking and moving all over! Anyone else know what I mean about the snaps? I told my husband I would ask you guys, so hopefully you all don't think I'm totally lazy too! :)

Me!!! Something about trying to get the snaps lined up in the middle if the night just drives me nut when I'm trying to move quick as possible as not to wake her up completely, lol.

I never really thought about it with my son. Just did up all the snaps. I have found the snaps are a pain this time around with cloth diapers though. Everything fits weird and to fit around her it's stretched length wise, so it's annoying. Luckily with girls they can just wear dresses. Much easier diaper changes. Now if I could just find more dresses that zip up the back instead of button....

Me! I don't know why they make baby clothes with snaps. I would always buy something that has a zipper over snaps, it is just so much easier. Especially in the middle of the night. I don't think it's being lazy, but when you are always changing diapers it is so much easier to zip up. Tell your OH that I am on your side lol.

Snaps are annoyingbut I always worry that with the zipper it is uncomfortable on LOs skin on the inside. I know there is usually a flap behind it, but it often flips the wrong way, esp when DH dresses him!

Another downside of snaps is how noisy they are in the dryer! :haha:

Me!! I also prefer zippers, but worry about them hurting my lo. The snaps take too long to line up. If I buy something with snaps I do not mind the ones that go down one leg.

I love zips my daughter strips if the has snaps she hasn't figured zips out yet =)

I've never seen baby clothes with zips over here, I only knew about it from watching youtube videos :haha: It does seem like a really good idea though, especially in the middle of the night!

I prefer snaps. The zippered sleepers usually only have one leg open and it's harder to get them on (plus I don't want to get their skin in the zippers). I always make sure I get all the snaps though.

I remember reading about onesies that use magnets instead of snaps when I was pregnant and I thought to myself, how difficult could it be to snap something shut. I am soooo eating my words. I HATE snaps. When you have to snap things over a dozen times a day, when you are exhausted and your baby is wiggling and then you are one snap off and have to redo it or its lopsided. I WISH I would have gotten those magnet onesies!

Zips and sleep dresses are great!

Prefer snaps. Safer in my opinion. No skin or finger trapping with snaps and I'venever had an issue lining them up.

I LOVE the zipper! They didnt have these when i had my first daughter...drove me nuts! Youre not alone!:-)

I much prefer zips, so much easier! I bought a cute little knitted onesie from Baby Gap the other week that has buttons at the bottom instead of snaps, such a pain in the ass to do up/undo, regret that purchase!!

Me! I always only snap the middle of her onsies. And i much rather prefer the pjs with zippers. My mom wanted to get ellie sleep n plays for Christmas and i requested ones with zippers :haha: call me lazy i dont care.its nice to change her fast at nights.and shes at the age where she kicks her legs constantly so getting snaps lined up is a hassle occasionally. But of course if theyre really cute ill make exceptions.lol

I've only had one zipper onsie, from gap, and it was amazing. Snaps are crazy, bring on the zippers!

Overall I prefer jammies with zippers plus the zipper cover up. Dd1 stays in those jammies still and doesn't unzip herself maybe because the cover stops her, I'm not sure. Snaps she can easily undo but she hasn't undone the cover snap, yet! Maybe she hasn't really noticed it yet, which is working to our advantage because once she's able to get out of those jammies we're doomed! Already had a nasty surprise when she took off her two piece jammie set, never again for a while!
Dd2 has a lot of snap up jammies and they're fine too but take more time to do up and she's not always patient during changes so that can be annoying.
I found on one pair of their jammies the opening between snaps is too big and their foot would go through it all awkward! Zips close up fast and no problem with gaps. :)

I prefer snaps. I don't like how his belly is exposed for diaper changes with a zipper. Too chilly, IMO. Also, I agree with the pp who said zippers only go down one leg and that makes them harder to get on.

I'm a zipper fan. Snaps are sometimes too complicated at late hours without a lot if sleep. Lol

I hate the Gap buttons too. Such a pain in the behind. The first time they wore one I took them to the ped and she tried to pull it open like snaps.
