i know my babys got colic but he crys nearlly the whole time when hes awake sometimes he has 15 mins rest most of the day when hes awake all he do is cry its not allways a real screaming cry though, nothing stops him he allways seems unhappy , i allways talk to him and move him into different positions and places through the day so he doesnt get bored, is this normal anyone else having the same problem he seems to get worse as the weeks go on not better ? xxx:hissy:

ah hun :hugs:

this might sound daft but have u tried having white noise on in the back ground like the washing machine or hoover some babies like hearing that xx

yeah i have just hooverd and he went quet while it was on but now ive finished hes crying again :hissy: xxx

ahh put some washing in the washing machine and stickhim near that it will give u at least 40 mins peace if it works x

A stroll in the pram maybe? Or try bathing and massaging him
Sorry for the crap advice, when my LO cries & cries and I've tried everything i just burst into tears myself
(not very effective I know)

i put him by the washing machine whilst cleaning the kitchen and he was quiet for a bit lol and i think im going to give him bath in a bit , he doesnt give me much chance to do anything lol xxx

I sympathise coz, thats exactly what my little girl is like...only things sometimes that will get her quiet is either feeding, or letting her kick about on the changing mat with no nappy on, maybe he would like that and it would give you some relief from the crying.

glad the washing machine trick worked maybe do a longer cycle next time xxx

They say the washing machine, tumble & hoover sounds like inside he womb

There always appeared to be different bored moments like at 2 months there was little Caitlin could do and compared to now ...shes alot more active with some toys, bouncing seats etc but she does get ratty bored and needs to go to the next stage of playing so she can do something else.

Caitlins first activity toy (bought by a friend) was this:

Chicco Duo Gym

She loves it even now & can be changed for use with cot & lower down as seen on the box:

No advice on the colic as Caitlin never had it - Warm baths (warm for them) gentle rub of tummy I heard works well ...but defo some girls on here that can advise better :D x

PS: would find one cheaper if anyone wants one!

hes loves his bouncer which has a bar of toys hanging off it, i went in asda the other day and saw a playmatt for 8 pound which didnt look too bad i new i should of got it :hissy: xxx

Well she had hanging oys on bouncer chair & swing chair but well wouldn't you get fedup seeing them all the time?

Caitlin hasa lotty play mat ...lets just say she love sthe toys not the mat! so £50 for the toys

Caitlin now goes between that above, jumperoo & walker oh and the floor with the odd toy no mat!! Use the bumbo & the normal bouncer now & then like when we're in shower etc (they are handy)!

thats what i thought as hes in it so much i have bought some extra ones that i sometimes clip on during the day but i really want a play matt xx

Jack hates the toybar on his bouncer - he screams everytime I try to put it on:dohh: but he does love his Rainforest playgym - he wasn't too keen at 1st but now he will stay under for half an hour or so:happydance:
I also bought him a lamaze gym:

but he isn't too keen on this at the moment as he doesn't like being on his tummy much - bought it to encourage him, but not working!:hissy:
