I have just moved my 5 month old lo into his own room and it is unfortunately a really cold room. It can go as low as 14 in the middle of the night and i am sure this is part of the reason he is waking up. His hands are freezing when i go in! I have ended up bringing him into our bed in the early hours and he sleeps really well. I don't mind doing this now and again but i don't want to create a habit - i also sleep better when he is in his own room. He wears a long sleeve vest, a baby gro and a 2.5 tog sleeping
bag. He is too wriggley for blankets. What do you put your little ones in to sleep?

Thanks!

That's what my little one is wearing now, our room goes down to about 16. I think grobag do a 3.5 tog :-)

Have you tried a cardigan over the top of the sleeping bag? I sometimes do this with mine and it does help x

hi i was having this problem too and I bought a fleecy sleepsuit that i put on over the top of his normal sleepsuit and it worked a treat. Mine has a zip down the front so i just keep it open if its warmer. I got it from matalan but think they do them is asda too,and think you get padded sleepsuits as well. hope this helps x

My lo's room goes like this too. I put a cardigan over the top of his sleepsuits and also put a blanket over his sleeping bag and tuck it in. When it's really cold outside I also do a fleecy sleepsuit. X

Reluctant to use a space heater as it is so expensive (i know that sounds awful!) will try putting a cardigan on over the bag and will look into fleece suit. Thank you everyone. X

We do a long sleeved vest, sleepsuit, pyjama top and 2.5 grobag and I keep the heater on all night. If I didnt Id also put a cardigan on her. Matalan (not sure if you in uk) sell quilted sleepsuits which are meant to be great. xx

I recommend the sleep suits with mits in, keeps Los hands warmer, also a fleecy sleep suit and a cardigan as other have said xx

We got a thermostatically controlled oil filled radiator, that kept his room at an even temperature. It was quite expensive, but has been useful several times since we stopped needing it in his room and although it uses a fair amount of electricity when it's on, it doesn't need to be on very much, just switches on and off as it needs to.

Gave me a lot of peace of mind and him a lot more sleep :)
