I'm only just pregnant but after a good scan this week I'm getting carried away. We've got two boys already and I'm convinced this will be our third but I'm still thinking of girls names. What do you think to the name...

Peyton Grace?

We're in the uk and I think Peyton is pretty uncommon -which is important to me- but I don't want something that stands out too much either. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance :flower:

Over here in the US Peyton is becoming more popular, I think it is very cute!

I know of one Peyton in real life (AU). I just think of it as being super "American" sounding, which is why I probably wouldn't use it myself. But I think it's a perfectly nice name.

This. I imagine little girls at American beauty pageants. Nothing wrong with the name though, it's nice.

I think it sounds American but that's not a bad thing, it's good because it's unusual in the UK.

I personally don't like the name, but I Always think it's good when people don't like a name I'd choose because it means there won't be too many of them!

If you like it, go for it!

Congratulations!! I think Peyton is a pretty sounding name I've heard it before from TV but for me it's too American, not that there's anything wrong with something being American but I guess I tend to choose names more from my own culture and background if that makes sense. Although I think our boys name is technically Jewish and we're not Jewish lol, although it's very common in the UK. But as a name I like it I probably just wouldn't choose it.

Absolutely love the name .And I don't consider any name to American or to UK or to French or to Aussie or to so on.. XO <3

It sounds boyish to me, probably because DH's middle name is Payton and I know a few boy Paytons.

I love this name.. I loved the character in an american series One Tree Hill and the girl was beautiful :)

congratulations..

That's where I heard it first, although I have to confess that I always to be more like Brooke

I don't like it. Makes me think of Paignton zoo. Sorry :( x

Our DD is Peyton. We almost named her Peyton Brooke. (I loved One Tree Hill lol). My DH is a mama's boy so we gave her my MIL middle name so she is Peyton Rebecca.

Sorry, US here...Don't like it :( I don't think it ages well.

I like the name Peyton - I know a little girl named Peyton Elizabeth and a little boy named Peyton after the football player.

Personally, if I had 2 boys though - I would give a baby girl a super feminine, girly name rather than a unisex one.

BTW - I think the name ages fine?! It doesn't sound at all babyish to me.

Thank you, I think because I personally have only ever known it as a girls name to me it does sound feminine - I can't imagine using it for a boy

Also from the US....this name is super common here, though I do know more boys named this than girls (football player). Because it isn't common where you're from that does give the name spark, but here in the US it's like having the name Ashley or Katie (nothing wrong with these names just very common).

Sorry, just don't see a lawyer with the name Peyton lol it isn't bad though. I've definitely seen some names that made me do a second look on facebook recently!
