For the past couple of weeks my DD has been rocking back and forth on her knees banging her head against the windows. I can't work out what sets her off, if I knew that then I think I'd be able to fix it. She has also started hitting her head with her hand when tired.

Anyone had the same experience or have any ideas? It concerns me a bit

My dd went through a faize doing this she'd sit with her back against the cupboard or her cot and rock backwards and forwards banging her head. I got worried and googled (as you do) and it started saying autism! I obviously didn't believe this and wasn't going to let it worry me but when watching my daughter do it I saw that it seemed to relax her (weird I know) she doesn't do it now though I think the faize only lasted a month 2 at max.

How old is your LO? It very much sounds like tiredness, I does t happen when she is due to nap or before bedtime? She could have a headache which they can get with a cold or teething much like babies pull their ears when they have an ear ache. I have never seen my LO do that, but she pulls her ears a lot when she is teething or ill. If it happens when she's not tired, teething etc and it happens very regularly it may be worth going to your doc about, if anything to put your mind at ease and get her checked out.

My LO is 13 months, it doesn't happen very often but, concerns me when she does. I will have to watch and see if it coincides with tiredness. Thanks ladies
