I had my hand low on my tummy while lying on my back, with ever so slight pressure, because I could feel 'somethin' there. A minute later I felt only what can be described at a soft but very definite and Swift kick! I felt in on the inside as well as on my hand.

I called my dh over who was excited to try and feel it but unfortunately he couldn't as I think it's too early. I kept my hand on my belly and felt two more 'kicks' over about 3 minutes.

Since then I have felt just one flutter while typing this.

Most amazing feeling ever! Just felt another kick!

Baby was measuring about a week ahead but is it normal to feel movement this early? It is slight not at all hard or painful, but I definitely feel it!

Yes, its normal to feel it at 16 weeks. Give it a couple weeks and DH will be able to feel too.

It has become our evening routine I lie down and wait for little man to start kicking he always does at bedtime and my husband covers my tummy with his hands and we both just sit in the quiet giggling at how active he is. It's absolutely the most amazing part so far. My husband is in love with feeling him and doesn't like to go to sleep without his hand being bumped around. I am excited for him to get bigger and to feel more but every movement is so precious. I think I've decided that feeling the tummy is just going to be for the two of us. It's just such an intimate thing to go through I don't really want to share with anyone else.

Thanks ladies! How far along were u when your dh's first felt movement?

SaraVO I agree with u- it is somethin intimate to share just with dh. It's an amazing emotion that u experience when u first feel the miracle you've created move!

I felt him at about nineteen weeks husband a week and a half later. It's not terribly strong yet. 23 weeks tomorrow. But it is every day and getting stronger. My belly is small. I'm actually still wearing all of my regular clothes still. So I have to be on my back and we have to be quite but he feels him. He says, on my palm on my thumb at my finger tips. It's pretty magical seeing him really start to bond with little man. Be patient and it will definitely happen I'm happy for you. I didn't get to feel anything but constipated at sixteen weeks.

Awwww you're so lucky! I can't wait for this, even had a dream baby kicked but not felt anything since flutters done weeks back. I'm thinking may have placenta at the front again. Enjoy the baby bonding, it's amazing right?! I'm sure your DH will be getting involved soon x

Aww lucky you!! I'm jealous lol just waiting for that magical moment. I continue to feel spuratic waves/flutters but no kicks just yet. I'm hoping within the next few weeks I get those little kicks!! 😍

I think I may have felt my first flutter at 15.5 weeks, but then a couple days ago (right around 16 weeks) I DEFINITELY felt it! Not a kick exactly, but movement. Like bubbles in the tummy, but lower down. I've felt it a few times since then and it is such an amazing feeling. I can't wait for husband to feel it either. He gets all sad when I say "baby is moving" and then he can't feel it.

Thanks ladies I was a little in denial as I thought I would only really feel anythin at around 20 Weeks as I am a ftm. And my friend who is pregnant only felt the baby move at around 25 Weeks! But I am about 40 lbs lighter than her so maybe that could be a reason or she may have also had an anterior placenta?

Jinxii my dh was the same yesterday he was kinda bummed that he couldn't feel anythin, esp as I was getting so excited everytime I felt a definite tap. Told him all u lovely ladies advised that he will be able to feel in a couple more Weeks. Felt another tap this morning so I am pretty sure now it's not in my head!

But ladies does anyone else feel like their pregnancies are progressing so quickly? I can't believe most of us will be almost half way by the end of this year! I am sure everyone will hopefully feel some movement by xmas! What a wonderful gift that would be hey!

Awww, Tesh, I'm so happy for you! I hope I get to feel that too in the next few weeks. For now my doppler is keeping me sane, and sometimes I can even hear her moving around when I'm trying to find her heartbeat, but I still can't feel anything. I absolutely can't wait!

Ah biscuits I am sure you will soon! It's great that u have the doppler to hear her how Precious.

And it's so sweet that u get to call her 'her'! Can't wait to find out lo's gender now!

Yay, it's the best feeling! :)

I started feeling definite movement around 16 weeks, so not too early. An anterior placenta can make it harder to feel (had one with DD, didn't feel her until after 20 weeks). :flower:

Ah thanks kitteh kat it's reassuring to know that you definitely can feel baby at around 16 Weeks!

Hey did u go for your scan today?

Yay Tesh!! That's so cool that you felt baby so early on. Most people don't feel them till after 20 weeks for first time moms!

Thanks hungry! I gave u a long reply in *positive thinking* hehe

Aw that's lovely :). My hubby still hasn't felt the kicks yet but I have an anterior placenta. Her movements are still quite muffled, though getting stronger! I saw my belly move in the both for the first time last night <3

Aw Dani that is wonderful! Hopefully hubby gets to feel soon!

How wonderful tesh!! It's a great feeling :) can't wait although mine will take much longer to feel as I know my placenta is anterior xx

Isn't it wonderful when you start feeling those early kicks? It only gets better and better! I felt DS at 16+2 and DH felt him move around 21 weeks. I felt him on the outside earlier but every time DH would put his hand on my belly he would stop kicking and it took a bit to catch him.
