hi ust wondered if anyone else is suffering the same problem, baby laying on sciatic nerve,im in agony

I have SPD and the movement of my pelvis has caused my sciatic nerve to trap, I agree so painful and the paracetamol given to me by the doc is not touching the pain at all.

I find a hot water bottle eases the pain but only temporary x

midwife said i can have phsyio but doubts it will help much.been told to have plenty of rest, not easy with a 17month old as well

yep Jake likes to sit onit quite alot...

I have been to the maternity unit 6 times with it I am only nearly 21 weeks...

I find a warm bath usually helps and then a hot water bottle in bed with some paracetamol

:flower:

maiziesmummy, how far along are you? I also have SPD and am carrying twins- one has been sitting on my spine/bowel all week, so today I found a POOL I could get in and free float for about an hour (I was all pruney! lol) and it seems to have worked to shift them!

hi everyone.
ive had back problems since 2008 from an accident. when i found out i was pregnant, from 8 weeks i suffered from a trapped nerve in my back. im now 20 weeks, and its still there. its gotten a lot worse as baby has gotten bigger. as well as having type 1 diabetes, ibs and group b strep, things just seem to not want to work.
my sofa is quite low, and when ive done too much around the house (even just hoovering gets me in agony) its literally a pain in my ass.
i have a bath every 2-3 nights as its great to relax, and realy helps my back. hot water bottles are great too. i just put it behind me during the day when i watch tv or in bed.
if it gets too bad, ask your gp to refere you for physiotherapy. it sucks cuz we can only have paracetamol, but i swear by lots of baths, hot water bottles, and try to keep your feet up as much as you can. xxx
