DS has started to mainly stay in one position when I lay him down to play, legs pulled in and arms stretched upwards with his fists clenched.. is this normal.. I never thought I'd worry about how my baby lays down to play lol

Another is this normal from me, seems like I can't stop questioning if every single thing my son does is normal... Anyway he is 11 weeks now and keeps twisting his hands backward and rubbing them on the surface he is sitting/laying on... Does or did anyone's little ones do this? I've googled and worried myself he has autism or some sort of sensory processing disorder...

I'd say that's quite clever; he's checking out what the surface he's lying on feels like. My 7 month old really likes a certain cushion at our house just to feel. I vote normal again and would question whether you are ever going to see definite signs of autism at 11 weeks. Your little one is gorgeous! X

It's normal for children to be very sensory when they are young. Unusual sensory behaviour doesn't often become apparent until at least toddler age. All these things are normal for babies.

Being able to lay on your back with both arms up to the middle is a great achievement, its actually a 4 month milestone. The legs are not a milestone, maybe something he enjoys doing.

Thanks everyone, I was just really worried as he just seems to be dragging his hands along whatever surface to get them where he wants them instead of lifting them like he was before, he does still lift them at times but seems to keep them down more or drag them
