We've had a BT 250 monitor since C was born, and it's driving us mad!! The battery life is useless, the mute buttons no longer work (granted it has been dropped a few times but I reckon they should know you'll be carrying it around with you!) and the screen is now unreadable.

The last straw has been that the thing only charges if you have the flex at a VERY precise angle, and if you don't it turns itself off without warning.

Anyway, rant over, does anyone have any recommendations for good monitors??

I have the angel care AC401 and swear by it. Its a monitor and sensor pad aswell :) Never had any problems with it and had no false alarms.

Motorola. Idk what the model is but it's a video monitor. Love it! The company is great too, I dropped it accidently once and the screen went blank and never came back on I contacted them and they sent me a replacement with no questions asked and no receipt needed (didn't have one anyway as it was a shower gift)

I also have the angel care monitor with the sensor pad! I've only had one false alarm because LO scooted her way up the crib and the pad couldn't sense her. I love it! She sleeps through the night and the monitor works for at least 12 hours without needing to charge it

Also love my angelcare. Good battery life, lots of channels if u get interference u can just select another channel, weve had no problems. Used it with and without the sensor pad

I agree angelcare has given me peace of mind at night times :) Had no issues at all with it.

I have a DLink one. They are basically a webcam so you can monitor them anywhere you are in the world. It works great if one parent is away from the home and wants to check in too. It has motion detection and is monitored through any mobile phone or pda. Its a little more technical to deal with but great if you want that monitoring away from home.

I can highly recommend Annie Baby monitor, works great, you can monitor up to 4 kids from limitless number of devices (so when my husband is in Asia on a business trip, he can see her and say hi:) and I don't have to carry a monitor with me all the time, just my phone (which I do anyway). You need two iOS devices - one child unit (I use my old ipad) and parent unit (my phone)
I have had it for about 6 months and it has been reliable so far.

We LOVE our Motorola with the 2 cameras. It does everything we need it to: night vision, two way communication, good screen, etc. If you want to see photos of the monitor in action I have a photo of it towards the bottom of this post. I hope it helps! https://www.theydontfeedthemselves.com/transitioning-twins-out-of-swaddles/

Also have an Angelcare with sensor pad - it was the only way I would ever have got any sleep when LO was tiny and there was the SIDS risk.

Am still using the pad now for extra peace of mind. It's good - has lots of helpful features and the nursery unit is really cute and doubles up as a nightlight.

We have a Motorola one that we got for twenty quit after our four-year-old Angelcare one snuffed it. We weren't bothered about sensor mat or video or anything and this one works fine and can be carried if needed although I do not bother as our house is small so would hear baby anyway. Only times I have taken it with me are to hang washing in garden!
