baby poo (nice!)

Hi everyone, not been on here since I announced the arrival of little May Elizabeth, hope everyone is well and all the December mummies have their happy little babies at home now...

Quick Q on baby poo...I am breast feeding and through the day, May has lovely little yellow poops which look as I expected like Picallili.

At night tho, she quite often has huge, explosive and leaky ones which are much runnier and quite orangey/brown....the health visitor doesn't seem concerned (or especially interested to be honest) so was just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience??

I would say that's normal. Breastfed babys' pooh seems to vary in colour from dark yellow through to green. I wouldn't worry too much. As long as she is having plenty of wet nappies and gaining weight well, then it's all good.

The fact that they are so explosive could be just because she is lying down flat when she does them and they shoot up her back and front.
