I took jayden to the doctors today, as he was wriggling/crying at some feeds, has diarrhoea and has quite bad reflux.
The doctor said its because the cow & gate powder i'm using may be too thick for him, so to dilute it by adding half the amount of scoops, eg 4oz-2 scoops, 8oz-4 scoops etc.

does this sound right to you?

i read on the back of the cow & gate box that adding too much or too little powder can be harmful.
pls help! :(

My HV told me to put one less scoop into a few of Lissa's bottle to try keep her weight steady. I think its ok in moderation putting less scoops but you should never put more scoops. I THINK!

i was told you can only dilute formula once weaned if lo was eating plently of food then it would be ok to do the half strength milk to stop them having food on top of food....if he said to do it half strength then in effect if he drinks 4 oz then hes only getting 2oz worth of goodness iykwim.....im not a doc though and maybe this is what recommeneded now id just keep an eye on his weight if hes getting less scoops
hth xx

I had to give Erin half strength milk for a while when she was sick. Its fine to add less scoops, but should never add more scoops. xx
