baby rice?

hello could anyone tell me if there is a difference between baby rice and baby porridge... ?

Baby porridge is made from oats, wheras baby rice is made from rice! They just blitz it down to quite a fine powder and you add milk. I have no idea how different they taste, I assume the texture is quite similar. Maybe ask over on the weaning forum

baby porridge is made from oats, and there for has a bit of gluten in it and is harder to digest, so is best used after 6mos.

baby rice is bland and tastes like cack.......have never tried the porridge, but i know there are lots of other first foods out there for them that must taste nicer than wallpaper paste

Baby porridge is, according to Cow and Gate, 'Cereals mixed with milk protein and vanilla flavouring'. Baby rice is just ground rice.
