baby waking every 3 minutes - 2 cries then back to sleep ???

What does this mean?? He'll literally do this for an hour or more and it must be very frustrating as he's constantly waking. Upon watching him he is thrashing around for some of it. This is for daytime naps in moses and I've tried swaddled vs not swaddled, fed and burped with clean nappy etc...Any ideas?

My baby girl's sleep was VERY unsettled for the first couple of months. From about 3am until she was up for the day, it was just constant grunting, crying out, even little screams - but her eyes always remained closed! I asked my pedi - she said their little digestive tracks are still working themselves out so gassiness/fussiness in their sleep is normal I guess? She said it will fade away - and now around 14 weeks it's definitely not as bad. For the first hour and last hour of the night, she is restless, but sleeps decently in between.

I'd say gas, even after burping my lo alot she would still be windy and sometimes result in the same sort of crying out

I've been having this exact same problem with my little boy. We now use infacol, he's on comfort formula and anti colic tommee tippee bottles!! He's not 'perfect', but he's so much better since starting these!! He also sleeps a lot better & longer on me, rather than in his crib or Moses basket. He's 5wks tomorrow & apparently going through a leap according to wonder weeks, which can cause clingyness too! Try a few gas relieving techniques and products and see if that helps. I read great things about HiPP formula for gas, but it made my LO spit up Good luck!
