I gave birth to my daughter on the 10th June. I tried to breast feed but after the birth and trying i felt it wasn't for me and change to bottle. She had been having 3oz feeds every few hours, sometimes she wakes up every 2hour if not before for a feed and sometimes she doesn't wake up for a feed at all. I've found myself waking her for a feed and then she doesn't drink it all and leaves an oz but sometimes she drains the bottle. My midwife said if she carries on to drain the bottle to put her upto 4oz. She doesn't seem entirely satisfied with the milk when she doesn't finish it off. She pulls her head away from the teat. Will she just be getting herself into a routine? I have the HV coming round Tues so willl ask then aswell.:wacko:

Congrats. Maybe she needs to wind before continuing to feed. At this age my LO used to take anything between 1-3 oz per feed every 2-3 hrs. Just follow her lead, & she will establish her own feeding routine.

Thank you, she gets quite abit of wind up but has difficulty sometimes just have to persivere. xx

We used to have to wind Evie every ounce or so when she was tiny, so it could be wind hun :hugs:

Nowadays we wait till the end of her bottle to wind her otherwise she'll just refuse to drink the rest of the bottle!

I find that the case with Lilie to hun, thanks for your replies :) I were going to call my little one Evie too! Lovely name x
