Hey so I've always had a bad back, no surprise that my back is acting up now. The thing that surprises me is that my lower back ache that started around 18 weeks and led down to my buttocks isn't getting any worse, but now, after cooking, baking, and wrapping presents, the left side of my upper back hurts like hell. It's kinda by my "chicken wing" lol I don't know what it's called in English!
It's a place that normally hurts when I do repetitive things but boy, it starts hurting as soon as I do anything now. Has anyone been successful at keeping pains like this at bay? Exercise ball, foam roller, anything? I really can't afford to get a massage right now, or I totally would. DH rubs my back though which feels good but I think I need something more.
Maybe I just need to exercise more? Take walks, etc. And no, I'm not doing yoga. I know I should.
Lol, sounds like I kinda answered my own question there! But any tips and tricks are appreciated! :flower:

Heat wraps and a back support would maybe help. I also have a bad back and my last pregnancy crippled me but the back support band from the physio really helped. I'm already finding Im getting back ache again. Going to go buy a back support soon as don't have the physio until the end of January. Hope you find something that helps!!

My back hurts but it's my belly that is sore from bending.

My lower back is killing me these days but could be from my one year old :)

When I have the upper back pain you are talking about it is usually from a weird kind of heartburn that Pepcid will take away. Hope that helps!! :)

I got this same problem with upper back, being to the physio, tried a remedial massage, doing mat pilates twice a week, heat packs, sitting on a birthing ball, even doing arm weights to stretch upper back, it seems to worsen if I sit or stand for long periods of time, nothing seems to fix it and still have 10 weeks to go and working at a computer desk for another 6 weeks! Ahhh! I'm going to try a pilates class with equipment in the new year, to hopefully stretch myself out a bit more, will let you know if it helps!
