hey everyone, i'm 14 weeks pregnant and woke up this morning just not feeling right. My lower back is really aching and ive got weird pains where my bump is.... i rang my midwife and she just said to take some paracetamol and take it easy. She also mentioned that it could be braxton hicks conractions.
Even though shes reassured me ive just got a horrible feeling that somethings not right. Just wondering if anyone else has had an experience like this??

i am a hair dresser and being on my feet working full time ( i am 6 months pregnant atm) is wearing me out and i have been having horrible back ache :( i can feel for you lol just relax, use a heat pack if you can and just make sure your posture etec is ok

hope all is well

Ive been feeling like this since thursday. :hugs:

Its all a bit confusing as ive no idea what a braxton hick is so how would i know if thats what it was. So far, i've plodded on with no pain relief. But it is a horrible sensation.

Hope you feel better soon hunny:hugs:

xxx

google braxton hicks. it's mild contractions and 100% normal.
I've not had them but I have ahd back ache. it's only some days, but on those days it's really nasty - very painful, right at the lower back.
It's normal as I'm told. I just have to take it easy.

If you're worried, or if anything is wrong the best you can do is rest.

when you have a uti, is it possible to have it with no symptoms?? Before i got pregnant i often had uti's and have had a couple of kidney infections. The feeling i have in my back is just like when i had a kidney infection, but... i have no other symptoms. Just wondering if its possible cus i can remember my midwife mentioning something about this.. or i may have been dreaming. lol . Thanks for replies anyway! x x x

I've woken up a few times like this too. But if you are really worried and think something is wrong I'd call the MW back and insist on going in, for your own peace of mind.

If I stand for too long, sit for too long, walk for too long or lay for too long I get a lower back ache. I think it's pretty common in pregnancy
