Back Again

So long story short I am back to trying again but probably not until July or so. My levels have been going up and down like crazy 137 down to 111 then back up to 135 to 181 and finally 320 a week later. Turns out my ultrasound found a small amount of placenta still lodged in the uterus and it most likely wasn't a new pregnancy at all but retained from my d&c back in February.

I go in for a methotrexate shot next Wednesday to make sure it clears out and then weekly hcg draws after that. As soon as my levels are down and stay down I can wait 1-2 cycles before trying again so July is my hopeful. Has anyone had an experience similar? I feel better knowing I didn't lose another pregnancy but it still feels like this last miscarriage is never ending.

i was looking to see whatever happened after you posted in the december rainbow thread and found this post. that sounds so confusing with numbers going up and down and also heartbreaking. but i think you have a great perspective, realizing that it's not another loss, just one really stubborn one.

it's been awhile since you posted this, but i hope you are feeling better and taking whatever time you need to grieve and get back on the ttc bandwagon. just thinking of you and hoping you're doing okay.
