Bacterial meningitis :(

Anyone else's little darling had this?

Ethan has been in hospital since Friday and really I'm looking for some positive outcomes .....he is recovering really well and the doctors are amazed y his progress.....but all friends/family keep making comments that worry me "is he going to be deaf then?"
"meningitis causes all sorts of learning difficulties"
"he will be I'll all the time now :/ "

Doctors are encouraging but cautious saying that it was caught so early and treated that odds are definitely in his favour of full recovery....but oone will know till he is older. Just seems so unfair ..... Why do our poor LO have to suffer like this....is being premature not enough????!

People are probably reading the internet which always gives lots of horror stories for every illness so try and ignore them xx

Thanks Hun.....must admit I consulted dr google and wish I hadn't!!!! It should flash up a warning " stop now paranoid mummies!!!!"
