Hi! I recently had some blood tests to investigate a luteal phase defect! Had lots done at day 18 (4 dpo) and all came back ok (except low prolactin) and progesterone was good! I then had prolactin repeated at day 3 along with lh and fsh! Went to see Gp yesterday who said all fine except prolactin still low but prob not an issue! Decided to go for private referal just to hav opportunity to discuss lp issues and for reassurance etc- figured worth the money for peace of mind! Anyway, the gp was wrong- came home and looked up levels etc and my fsh levels are not good at all and now I am freaked out and gutted! I know this poor egg quality can explain lpd but I'm worried about what fertility specialist will say now and what this all might mean! I can't stop googling and know I should just wait to talk to specialist but just gutted!

Thanks for listening- feel better writing it down!

*hugs* didn't want to just read and run, I know that with my insulin resistance I tend toward poorer egg quality as well which my doc is trying to correct with use of Glucophage. Now of course it is just getting pregnant again that is the problem lol

Holding thumbs for you that the FS can give you good advice and peace of mind *hugs*

Thanks! Hugs much appreciated! Lots of good luck to u too x

I hope that the FS can help to answer your questions and make this happen for you. One word of advice - stop googling things. It makes the situation much worse. Been there, done that! It's okay to be an empowered patient, but don't stress yourself with internet stuff.

Ah hun, fingers crossed for you that these results will not stop you having your baby, good luck xx

Thanks everyone! I appreciate your replies x

:hugs:

I hope you get some answers soon and its nothing to worry about it
