Bad latch

Hi all was wondering is anyone else experiencing sore nipples cos bubs isn't sucking the nipple to the "comfort zone" he seems to be doing everything right apart from taking the nipple all the way back so i'm getting ridged nipple which is KILLING me!!!!!! i keep feeling like crying when Alfie wants t latch on. He's baffled the woman from LLL cos we've tried everything and nothing is workin

Have u tried laying down on your side and feeding him? That worked to help Harry latch a bit better, he sucks my nipple in like spaghetti instead of opening his mouth and it sometimes gets sore but when i lay down and feed him its much better and more comfortable.
I know all the HV, LLL etc suggest trying different positions so you've prob tried them all anyway!! Also holding LO really close to you can help. Good luck xxx

think i'll give it another go today, tried a few times but i'll keep trying, tried last night and he just fell asleep lol
