BBT and Charts....confused?

Alright. In my signature is my chart thus far. FF predicted id be O today but im not. My strips have a faint line, there getting darker but not close to it at all yet. i figured in a few more days i should get a surge.

Now, going by my temps I dramatically dropped this morning - my thing says "maybe fertile" so...while I know I cant be due to my CM - which is starting to get in the right direction -but anyway, my question is this -

It went to the yellow "maybe" fertile after I put my temp in. When you get a dramatic drop like that, is it normal to get an LH surge not to soon after? This is my first month charting from cd1 all the way through.

*Im also wondering if my temp was read wrong or done wrong. If I should ignore it. DH did try to do BD early this morning much to my half asleep dismay. LOL. Maybe it trigger wrong...wont know until tomorrow

How many months have you been using FF? It usually doesn't get accurate until you've had at least three cycles recorded. It would have dropped to yellow because you're past when it said you would be fertile, but you don't have any fertile signs showing yet that you've recorded. I would be BDing, just in case O sneaks up on you. You'll O within 36 hours of getting that super dark, positive OPK. Good luck!

This is frustrating but you just have to keep temping to see what your unique patterns are. I found it helpful to look through the chart gallery on FF because you will see a wide variety of ovulatory charts. I was charting for a long time and I wasn't ovulating. Now that I am on clomid and ovulating FF has my predicted O date at really weird times, I just ignore it because I know it doesn't really apply to me. I didn't see any fertile signs yet on your chart so keep up using the OPKs and monitoring CM. Good luck!

this is my first month using it from the begining. so that does make sense.

also, today i am cramping, but i havent ovulated yet and my temp is climbing slowly...(as indicated by my chart) could I be getting ready to O? I use the strips, and theyre darker but not by much. I havent done todays yet (its 8am) I usually do them after work, between 3-6

I would say you're getting ready to O. Some people are slow climbers, some have a sharp temp increase.

You very well could be gearing up to ovulate. you may want to test with FMU and in the afternoon as well so you don't miss your surge. Also keep checking for other fertility signs as not every woman will turn an OPK positive. Good luck and start BDing!
